The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will accept sealed proposals from qualified firms until 2:00 p.m. (local time), Thursday, November 19, 2020, 2020 for the following:
Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters, and system installation for the Forsyth County Water & Sewer Department.
Pre-Proposal Meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., October 22, 2020. This will be a virtual Zoom meeting:

Firms are required to examine the sites of the proposed work, the Specifications, Supplemental Specifications, Special Provisions, and Contract forms prior to submitting a Proposal.
The envelopes containing the Proposals must be sealed, addressed to Board of Commissioners of Forsyth County, GA, delivered to the Forsyth County Procurement Department, 514 West Maple Street, Suite 104, Cumming, GA 30040, and designated as RFP # 20-88-2410 in the lower left-hand corner. No Proposals will be accepted after 2:00 p.m. (local time), November 19, 2020.
Copies of the proposals documents are available on the Forsyth County website, www.forsythco.com, go to ‘How do I’ and then click on “Doing Business with the County”. Instructions on how to obtain the solicitation documents are located at the top of the “Bids & Results” page. They may be downloaded at no cost, if it is desired to receive a hard copy from our office there is a non-refundable fee of $25.00 (cash or check).
Each Proposer must deposit with his Proposal, a Bid Bond, or a Certified or Cashier's Check to the order of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid and a Consent of Surety form from a surety company licensed to conduct business in the State of Georgia, engaging to furnish, upon award of the Contract, a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond. The Performance Bond shall be in a sum not less than one hundred percent (100%) and the Payment Bond shall be in a sum not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total price bid for the completed work and the appropriate insurance certificate showing Forsyth County, GA as an additional insured.
No Firm may withdraw his Proposal within 90 days after the actual date of the opening, thereof.
Forsyth County in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d – 42 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority enterprise will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated on grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration of award.
Award of proposal will be made at a later date. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Proposers and the general public are invited to attend the bid opening at 2:05 p.m. (local time), Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Forsyth County Procurement Department, 514 West Maple Street, Suite 104, Cumming, Georgia.
